The Outside is quite an obscure movie that's worth checking out due to its excellent performances and drama.
La La Land is a mostly uplifting, funny and heartfelt story of two people trying to reach their dreams but fall in love with each other along the way. It's nicely acted with catchy tunes even for people (like me) who hate musicals.
Patriot's Day may well be Mark Wahlberg's finest hour in terms of acting and the rest of cast are at the top of their game. Harrowing and incredibly intense it may not be a film you'll rewatch very often but you should at least watch it once.
Heartwarming and romantic, The Space Between Us is the perfect date movie for February 14th.
The Internecine Project isn't a classic by any means but it's worth watching once especially for the ending.
Split is a unique and chilling movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout but is let down by the emergence of the "Beast" which does take you out of it a little.
An underrated and entertaining adventure comedy which deserves a wider audience.
American Pastoral isn't exactly feelgood fare but it's beautifully shot, nicely paced and well acted.
Although not as good as the original, Stake Land II goes for the hardcore action route and still entertains.
Die Laughing is entertaining in parts but not as funny as it could be and I doubt there would be much that modern audiences would enjoy.
