American Violence isn't anything we haven't seen before but it has a first rate cast and enough disturbing content to be riveting from beginning to end.
Nocturnal Animals will certainly be an acquired taste but I recommend you stick with it as it gets incredibly tense and genuinely thrilling as the story progresses.
The Girl on the Train has an intriguing premise but fails to build up any tension for the first half and you're not exactly rooting for anyone. It's only worth watching for Emily Blunt's searing performance as Rachel.
