The Void is one of the few movies that lives up to the hype and is a massively entertaining ode to 80's creature features with some quality moments of gore and cool practical effects.

Live By Night doesn't exactly change the gangster genre and the story is quite predictable but I still enjoyed it for what it was and though the climactic shoot out was satisfyingly bloody.
