Split is a unique and chilling movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout but is let down by the emergence of the "Beast" which does take you out of it a little.
An underrated and entertaining adventure comedy which deserves a wider audience.

La La Land is a mostly uplifting, funny and heartfelt story of two people trying to reach their dreams but fall in love with each other along the way. It's nicely acted with catchy tunes even for people (like me) who hate musicals.
Patriot's Day may well be Mark Wahlberg's finest hour in terms of acting and the rest of cast are at the top of their game. Harrowing and incredibly intense it may not be a film you'll rewatch very often but you should at least watch it once.

The Internecine Project isn't a classic by any means but it's worth watching once especially for the ending.
Deeply passionate and heartrending, the beautifully shot romantic drama The Light Between Oceans is about as intimate as a film can be, reaching in deep places of the human heart and squeezing and tugging at it until you beg for mercy.
