This is Star Wars day so no surprise that there is a major announcement but according to Variety Thor: Ragnaork and The Mandalorian director Taika Waititi is set to take the reigns of the next Star Wars movie; no word on what the movie will be but I imagine it’s the one set to come out in 2022. He will apparently co-write with 1917 scribe Krysty Wilson-Cairns.
We shall watch his career with great interest.
