Muppets Haunted Mansion brings in nostalgia with a mix of new – a fun and family-friendly special to get into the Halloween season.

Plot: Gonzo and Pepe are challenged to survive one night at the infamous Haunted Mansion, where they encounter some eerily familiar and fresh faces throughout the evening.

Review: This Muppets Halloween special was such a blast. Gonzo and Pepe have quite the experience as they make their way through the creepy hallways of the Haunted Mansion, and it was every bit as funny and light-hearted as you’d expect.

While the plot itself was a bit predictable and did not feel as cohesive as it could have been, beyond the gags and laughter there was an overlying message about friendship and self-love that many kids could embrace.

As viewers, perhaps the most excitement came from the anticipation of who would appear next. It was the familiar characters and celebrities that helped pushed the storyline, with music you can definitely bob your head to.

Muppets Haunted Mansion is a family-friendly way to start spooky season, especially for fans of these beloved, classic characters.

The Muppets Halloween special premieres this Friday, October 8 on Disney+.
