Verdict
Summary
It’s skeezy and as sleazy as you’d expect (Dagmar will lay down with just about anybody, and we see her thought bubbles produce fancy new clothes, gourmet food, and other material things as she’s being porked by all manner and types of men), so if you’re going into this one with any inkling of a real “story” or intellectual challenges, you’ll be very, very disappointed.
Plot:
An in-demand call girl decides to retire … with a bang!
Review:
Swedish call girl Dagmar (Diana Kjaer) has had enough of the sex-for-cash lifestyle, and so she makes some calls to all her clients and lets them know that today is the day she quits, so if anyone wants one more fling, now’s the time to line up! She also contacts all her associates in the sex trade and informs them that by tomorrow the playing field will be opening up with her out of the picture, and so she’s joined by a few of her fellow gals-for-hire for a memorable day of one house call after another.
A sex-lite Scandinavian sex farce, Dagmar’s Hot Pants is about as unsophisticated as a microwave in 1986, and it delivers exactly what it advertises, which is lots of nudity, tongue-in-cheek sex scenes, and lots and lots of scenes of naked men and women talking on the phone to each other. There’s still an audience for this soft stuff despite instant, on-demand porn in this gonzo digital age, but I suspect the demographic is diminishing by the day. From director Vernon P. Becker.
Code Red / Kino Lorber’s recent Blu-ray edition of Dagmar’s Hot Pants, Inc. has been upgraded in a new 2K master, and includes the trailer.
