As we mark the momentous 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the Year of the Fire Horse arrives to perfectly mirror the untamed spirit, radical change, and profound desire for freedom that birthed our country in 1776.
This unique elemental year blends the Horse’s unyielding independence with the catalytic, transformative power of fire—a combustible mix that drives us toward bold new breakthroughs. In a vivid echo of Paul Revere’s midnight ride, our fire horses charge toward the surrounding enclaves to warn villagers to stay fiercely vigilant against the modern “brain police” and keep our free thinking untamed. By channeling this intense, unstoppable passion, our festival honors America’s enduring revolutionary spark.
This event marks the 25th anniversary of pyro technic art created by Robert McGinley and his Boom! Cult team of artists. McGinley is writer-director of the feature films SHEDDER ORPHEUS, JIMMY ZIP, DEVI DANGER and the upcoming CATACLYSMIC, a music driven sci-fi action film.
