Verdict
Summary
A sex and nudity-filled thriller with a tragic ending, So Young, So Lovely, So Vicious treads familiar territory, but it manages to keep itself busy with lots of titillation and sexiness, thanks to star Guida’s very generous nudity throughout the entire film. The movie has an exotic, Italian flare and a groovy score, but it’s not sophisticated in any way, so no need to raise expectations while watching it. It’s very cut and dry for fans of Italian exploitation cinema of the ’70s, and as such it’s a success.
Plot:
A rich girl connives a scheme to be rid of her possible future stepmother.
Review:
Just graduated from high school, blonde beauty Angela (Gloria Guida) has a deadbeat boyfriend and limitless cash at her disposal, thanks to a doting father who is swimming in millions. When her father announces that he’s going to marry the woman he’s been seeing for a year, Angela begins scheming in her devious mind of how to be rid of her before she has a chance to marry her father … simply because she sees her as a threat to her father’s fortune. When Angela meets flaming red-haired Irene (Dagmar Lassander), her father’s bride-to-be, it’s hatred at first sight, but Irene has no clue what kind of a sociopath Angela is, believing her to be just another pampered teenager. Angela’s plan has all sorts of intricacies, namely forcing her boyfriend Sandro (Fred Eobsam), a sleazebag, to seduce Irene, and in the meantime, Angela sets her own plans of seduction to work when she realizes that Irene is bisexual and once had an affair with a woman that ended in tragedy. As Angela’s devious agenda comes to a climax when Sandro’s seedy photographs of the sexy tryst she shared with Irene come to light, Sandro takes the whole thing to the next level by blackmailing Irene … which pushes Irene over the edge into a point of no return.
