SYNOPSIS: Local Video Store Employee and Horror Nerd Quinn Curtis’s Halloween Holiday is thrust into chaos when her friends reunite her with an old flame. The Night only worsens when a Killer in a Scarecrow mask, obsessed with Horror Movies himself, targets Quinn and her friends for his own twisted game of Trick or Treat. As the Body Count rises, his motivations and ties to the town’s past become clear.
ABOUT THE PROJECT: The Boy from Below is Directed by Tory Jones (Phantom Fun-World, Wicked Ones), from a script co-written by Jones and Jerron Spencer. It is being produced by P.J. Starks (New Fears Eve, 13 Slays till X-Mas) Roman Jossart (The Wicked One, Placid Park) and Thomas Wolf (Phantom Fun-World).
Horror Stars and Legends head back to the era of the video store for a nostalgia driven dive into Terror. Scream Queens Dee Wallace (Cujo, The Howling, ET, Rob Zombie’s Halloween) and Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp, Victor Crowley) team with Terrifier 2’s Leah Voysey and Chaney Morrow (Haunt, Malum, Wrong Turn) as well as Richie Ramone (The Ramones) as they join stars Spencer Madison (Phantom Fun-World, Fiberburn) Kamarra Cole (Dark Circles, Time’s Up), Cameryn Zupon, (Angel) and Douglas Vermeeren (Fresh Meat, Mafia Spies)
Statement from co-writer/director Tory Jones: It’s crazy to think the early 90’s was 30 years ago. That time was so informative for me and my love for Scary Movies and a lot of that had to do with the mom-and-pop Video Stores. I would spend hours combing through old Horror Movies, entranced by the artwork. I probably aggravated the owners of the stores I frequented with questions about all that I was seeing as a young kid. I lived for it. So, to be able to go back to that time and tell a story while introducing a new slasher character to horror fans is super exciting to me. And now to have Dee, Felissa, Leah, Richie, and Chaney all joining the team I’m excited about what’s to come.
