ATL (2006) star/director duo, actor Tip “T.I.” Harris and Chris Robinson are joining once again for the production of the new independent comedy, The Trap. THR writes Harris will co-star with actor and comedian Mike Epps who developed the story with screenwriter Nile Evans, and is set to begin filming this Fall.

Harris will play a man who returns home to Atlanta from his long-winded absence to aid the run down restaurant hosted by his mother and brother (Epps). Soon enough, an intriguing change to the chicken recipe brings to question whether or not it will mean change for the better, or worse.

Queen Latifah and Shakim Compere of Flavor Unit are fully financing and will produce next Harris along with Brian Sher from their Grand Hustle Films banner. Jesse Collins will executive produce.
