Poll: What’s the Best John Carpenter Film?

Posted October 25, 2016 by Eoin Friel in Poll

John Carpenter is one of the all-time great film directors with almost too many classic films under his belt; he has helmed the likes of The Thing, They Live, Escape from New York, Big Trouble in Little China, The Fog and my personal favourite Halloween.

These days he’s more into creating cool yet weird music with his Lost Themes albums which you need to pick up by the way if you haven’t already.

This is all about his movies though; what is the best Carpenter movie? Looking at the following list it’s a tough choice and I look forward to seeing the results. I haven’t put the short films from earlier in his career on the list but I wanted the focus to be on feature length pictures.

I started The Action Elite a few years ago; it's grown from strength to strength but now seems like the right time to expand. I've always loved different movie genres like horror, sci-fi and dramas so you'll see a wide range of different movies covered here.
